This book, first published in Urdu in 1963, was written at a time when Islamic fundamentalism was being aggressively propagated among Indian Muslims. This work makes a significant contribution through its analysis of the evolution of Islam in India. The author counters the time-space independent and eternal vision of the religion with historical perspective, looking at why Islam turned into a hurricane of change and why today it is not so.
